Caldwell, ID — One dead in two-vehicle crash at East Linden Street and South Kimball Avenue.
The accident occurred at 9:20 p.m. on Monday, according to Idaho State Police. A silver 2011 GMC Sierra, driven by a 28-year-old man from Guatemala, was traveling westbound on East Linden Street when it failed to stop at a stop sign, colliding with a white 2007 Pontiac G6.
The Pontiac, operated by a 35-year-old man from Caldwell with three juveniles onboard, was heading south on South Kimball Avenue. The driver of the Pontiac died at the scene. The three juveniles were transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance, while the driver of the GMC was also taken to a hospital and subsequently arrested.
Emergency services included assistance from Canyon County Paramedics, the Caldwell Police Department, and the Caldwell Fire Department. The intersection was blocked for approximately 3.5 hours following the incident. An investigation is ongoing.
