PAYETTE COUNTY — A three-vehicle crash on US-95 north of Payette City injured multiple individuals Saturday afternoon.
At 3:27 p.m. on Saturday, a 2016 Jeep Renegade, driven by a 44-year-old man from Caldwell, reportedly swerved into the southbound lanes at mile marker 72, according to Idaho State Police.
In an attempt to avoid a collision, an 18-year-old male from Weiser, driving a 2000 Honda Accord with a juvenile passenger, swerved into the northbound lanes. This maneuver resulted in a head-on collision with a Honda Ridgeline, operated by a 49-year-old Boise man and carrying two juvenile passengers.
According to authorities, the occupants of the Honda Accord were transported by air ambulance to a local hospital, while the occupants of the Ridgeline were taken by ground ambulance. The driver of the Jeep was uninjured in the incident.
Northbound lanes of US-95 were closed for approximately 90 minutes as emergency responders worked to clear the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
