FORT WORTH, Texas — Two men died and hazardous narcotics were found after a minivan crash Thursday morning, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

According to police, the minivan struck an unoccupied, parked truck before stopping nearby.

Emergency responders found a man dead in the passenger seat. Crews provided medical aid to the driver, who was at the scene, authorities said.

While investigating the crash, officers located 10 white plastic buckets inside the minivan that emitted strong fumes, police said. Narcotics officers and the Drug Enforcement Administration were called to assist.

The DEA collected, analyzed and disposed of the substance, which tested as likely liquid methamphetamine, according to police. The buckets weighed about 480 pounds with an estimated street value of $1 million to $3 million.

Authorities said a firefighter exposed to the liquid was taken to a hospital and released the following day in good condition.

The identities of the two men have not been released. The crash is under investigation, police said.
