Tennessee field trip bus crash kills two students, injures at least seven.

CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. — Two students died Friday, March 27, in a school crash involving multiple vehicles on Highway 70 near Cedar Grove, authorities said.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the crash involved a Clarksville-Montgomery County School System bus from Kenwood Middle School, a Tennessee Department of Transportation dump truck, and a Trailblazer.

Officials said the bus was headed to Jackson for a field trip. There were 25 students and five adults on board. Two students were killed.

The TDOT vehicle had two adults inside, and one adult was in the Chevrolet, authorities said. According to the Associated Press, at least seven other people were injured.

Emergency crews remained on scene Friday as air medical transport and other responders provided aid. Families of everyone on the bus have been notified, according to school officials.

Motorists were asked to avoid the area while response and recovery continued.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is leading the investigation. No further details were immediately released.
