HONOLULU (Island News) – Two people were hospitalized following a moped collision on Dole St. and University Ave. early Tuesday morning.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene at approximately 6:20 a.m. to assist a man and a woman, both in their early twenties, who sustained serious injuries. According to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services (EMS), the pair was riding a single motorcycle that struck a curb and subsequently collided with a pole.
Authorities confirmed that both individuals were wearing helmets at the time of the incident. They were transported to a nearby emergency room in serious condition.
No further details have been released as the investigation is ongoing.
