CINCINNATI (WKRC) — A woman faces multiple charges after allegedly driving under the influence with two children in her vehicle and crashing into a utility pole on June 17.
Tiara Person, 31, was arraigned in Hamilton County Municipal Court on charges of child endangerment, Operating a Vehicle under the Influence (OVI), driving under a financial responsibility suspension, and failure to maintain reasonable control.
According to authorities, the crash occurred near Cheviot Road, where Person is believed to have been impaired by alcohol and/or drugs. The collision caused significant damage to her vehicle and deployed the airbags.
Police confirmed that two children, both younger than 5, were present in the vehicle during the incident. Authorities stated that Person's actions posed a substantial risk to their safety.
Court records indicate that Person's bond was set at $2,500—10% or through an Electronic Monitoring Unit (EMU) on the child endangerment and OVI charges. She was released on her own recognizance regarding the suspension and reasonable control charges.
