CANADIAN COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — Four young adults were killed in a wrong-way crash on I-40 early Friday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Shortly after midnight, authorities reported that a vehicle was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-40, near Czech Hall Road, when it collided head-on with another vehicle carrying four individuals.

All four occupants of the struck vehicle—20-year-old Kiercey Hickson, 19-year-old Quincy Jones, 18-year-old Haleigh Salazar, and 17-year-old Brad Palmer—were at the scene.

The driver of the wrong-way vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Emergency response teams from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and local medical services were dispatched to the site.
