CINCINNATI (WKRC) — A Cincinnati woman faces multiple charges after crashing into a utility pole while under the influence with two young children in her vehicle on June 17.

According to authorities, Tiara Person, 27, was arraigned in Hamilton County Municipal Court on charges including endangering children and Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence (OVI). The incident occurred near Cheviot Road on the city’s west side.

Investigators allege Person was impaired when she collided with the pole, resulting in significant damage to her vehicle and the deployment of airbags. Witnesses reported that two children, both under 5 years old, were present in the vehicle during the crash.

Authorities said Person’s actions created a substantial risk to the children’s safety. Court records indicate her bond was set at $2,500, with options for 10% payment or electronic monitoring unit (EMU) for the child endangerment and OVI charges. She was released on her own recognizance for the suspension and reasonable control charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
