A car plunged into a neighbor's pool on Franklin Circle in Northborough, Massachusetts, shortly before 2 p.m. on Monday.
Emergency crews from local police and fire departments responded to the incident where they found a sedan fully submerged. According to authorities, the driver managed to exit the vehicle without assistance.
The driver reported that his brakes failed while descending a steep driveway, forcing him to enter the pool to avoid crashing into the house. No injuries were reported.
A crane was deployed to retrieve the car from the pool later that evening. The owner of the residence confirmed the driver was delivering packages during the homeowner's absence.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
