Beverly, MA – An ambulance and a passenger vehicle were involved in a crash on Route 128 South early Monday morning, resulting in one driver being hospitalized.
According to Massachusetts State Police, the incident occurred around 2 a.m. near the Route 1A exit. The front and rear of the involved white SUV sustained serious damage. Emergency responders transported the driver of the SUV to a local hospital with injuries that have not been disclosed.
The Middleton Fire & Rescue ambulance, identified by markings on its back, also participated in the response. Authorities reported that the area was temporarily closed following the incident, but lanes have since reopened.
An investigation into the crash is currently underway.
