Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run in Lexington Late Saturday Night
LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A bicyclist was fatally struck in a hit-and-run incident on Georgetown Street near Price Road just after 11 p.m. on Saturday.
Authorities reported that the victim, identified as 59-year-old Jose Luis Hernandez Sosa, was found at the scene and pronounced dead by the Fayette County Coroner's Office despite life-saving efforts, including CPR.
The driver involved in the crash fled the scene, according to police. Sosa's cause of death is listed as presumed multiple blunt force traumatic injuries, with an autopsy pending.
