All lanes on the Don Holt Bridge in North Charleston have reopened.

NORTH CHARLESTON — Both directions of Interstate 526 near the Don Holt Bridge reopened following two separate crashes during morning rush hour on May 15.

Authorities confirmed that lane closures occurred on both the eastbound and westbound sides of the bridge around 10:30 a.m. after the incidents, which took place within 30 minutes of each other.

S.C. Department of Transportation live traffic cameras observed multiple lanes blocked during the response. Charleston County Dispatch noted that injuries were reported, but the extent remains unclear.

Emergency responders were on the scene to assist with the situation. Traffic conditions are gradually improving in both directions as roadways clear. An investigation into the crashes is ongoing.
