LANCASTER, Ohio — A man died after a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday on Horns Mill Road near Raver Court in Berne Township.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Lancaster Post, troopers were called at 2:43 a.m. to a one-vehicle crash in Fairfield County.
Authorities said a 2013 Fiat 500 traveling north failed to negotiate a curve, went off the left side of the road, struck an embankment, overturned and ejected the driver.
The driver was identified as Ian James McCoy, 36, of Lancaster. He was taken to a hospital and died from his injuries, authorities said.
Alcohol is suspected, and McCoy was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
No other vehicles were involved. The crash remains under investigation.
