LAS VEGAS, NV — A traffic incident in Enterprise has resulted in one fatality and one injury, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). A motorcycle carrying a male and female passenger was reported speeding and driving recklessly before losing control and colliding with a fire hydrant.
Authorities confirmed that the female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, while the male passenger was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition. The damaged hydrant is being addressed by the Las Vegas Valley Water District.
LVMPD stated that the intersection of Cactus Avenue and Decatur Boulevard will be closed in all directions as the investigation continues for several hours. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
