Warren County, Miss. — A head-on collision involving two log trucks occurred this afternoon on Highway 3, resulting in one driver being airlifted to UMMC.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the driver of one of the trucks was ejected from the cab and sustained serious injuries. The truck caught fire immediately after the crash.
The second driver did not require medical transport. Emergency responders were on the scene, and lane closures were implemented as the situation was managed.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
