Woman Dies, Two Men Injured in Griswold Head-On Tesla Collision
GRISWOLD, CT — A head-on collision involving two Teslas on Preston Road resulted in the death of a 21-year-old woman and injuries to two men on Sunday afternoon.
According to State Police, a gray Tesla was heading southbound when it crossed into the northbound lane around 3 p.m., colliding with a white Tesla traveling north. The front seat passenger of the white Tesla sustained serious injuries and was transported to Backus Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Authorities identified her as Alexis Ann Newcomb from Ashburnham, Mass.
The drivers of both vehicles suffered minor injuries and were also taken to Backus Hospital for treatment.
The crash is under investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Troop E at (860) 848-6500.
