SAN ANTONIO — A man was arrested for allegedly violating a protective order and crashing into his former partner's vehicle on April 26.
According to an arrest affidavit, Carlos Rodriguez Jr. is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the incident on Marbach Road.
Authorities said Rodriguez pursued a woman he previously dated, attempting to get her attention before she entered a parking lot near Marbach Oaks. Witnesses reported that he exited his vehicle and demanded she leave hers.
Rodriguez then returned to his vehicle and collided with the woman's car. The woman reported experiencing pain in her neck, back, stomach, and chest. A female passenger in her vehicle was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a head injury and bruising on her hand and knee.
Rodriguez remains in custody and is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
