DALLAS COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – A 59-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 219 this morning.
According to Alabama State Troopers, Leonard Parten, Jr., of Plantersville was driving a pickup truck when it veered off the road and struck a tree around 9:10 a.m. Troopers reported that Parten was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred approximately three miles north of Selma. Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles were involved. The Alabama State Troopers are investigating the incident.
