Marion Military Institute Mourning After Fatal Crash
Marion, AL — Two cadets from the Marion Military Institute (MMI) were killed, and two others were injured in a car crash over the weekend, according to MMI President Col. David Mollahan, USMC (Ret).
The incident involved a single vehicle and occurred on a local roadway. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after the crash was reported. The two injured cadets received medical aid and were transported to a nearby hospital; their conditions have not been disclosed.
Col. Mollahan expressed his sorrow, stating that the cadets were exceptional representatives of the MMI Corps of Cadets and that their loss is “simply heartbreaking.”
In response to the tragedy, MMI is implementing a grief counseling plan to support its cadet community. A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, at 3 p.m. in the MMI Chapel, and all visitors are welcome to attend.
