CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A police crashed into a railing on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel following a medical emergency on May 20.

According to authorities, the police vehicle flipped over a guardrail near an electrical line during the incident. The officer involved was not seriously injured and was for further evaluation.

No additional injuries were reported. Authorities confirmed that no charges will be filed, as the crash was attributed to the driver's medical emergency, according to Tom Anderson, a spokesperson for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.
