RICHMOND, Va. — A driver has been charged with reckless driving following a crash that damaged several parked vehicles outside Zorch Pizza on Forest Hill Avenue on Sunday afternoon.
The collision occurred when the driver attempted a left turn, striking a parked vehicle. This initial impact caused a chain reaction, affecting additional unoccupied vehicles in a nearby parking lot, according to Richmond Police.
The incident took place in the 7500 block of Forest Hill Avenue. The driver sustained minor injuries, but no pedestrians were present in the parking lot at the time of the crash. Emergency responders, including firefighters and EMTs, arrived on the scene promptly.
Zorch Pizza owner Rob Zorch described the incident on social media as a “terrible accident” and expressed gratitude to first responders. He reported that the driver “drove at full speed across Forest Hill” before crashing into the cars and the restaurant's front.
Investigation into the crash is ongoing. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the number of vehicles involved or tow statuses at this time.
