JACKSON, Miss. — The Jackson Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Highway 18.
Officers responded to the incident on Tuesday at approximately 8:30 p.m. near Fulton Place, close to Walmart. According to authorities, a vehicle was making a left turn off Highway 18 when an oncoming motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the turning vehicle, resulting in a broadside crash.
The motorcyclist, identified as 19-year-old Holly Young from Utica, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle did not sustain injuries, per police reports.
