GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — A three-vehicle crash claimed the life of a 44-year-old Cadillac man on Tuesday, May 12, around 5:07 p.m.
According to Michigan State Police, the incident occurred on M-37 near M-113 in Mayfield Township. Authorities report that the man was driving a Chevrolet Impala east on Miller Road and attempted to cross M-37 when his vehicle was struck by a northbound pickup truck.
The impact forced both the Impala and pickup into a third vehicle, a parked Jeep on M-113. The driver of the Impala was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
A 22-year-old passenger from Manton was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 59-year-old pickup driver from Traverse City sustained non-life-threatening injuries as well. The driver of the Jeep, a 33-year-old Traverse City woman, was uninjured.
