DES MOINES, Iowa — Traffic on SW 9th Street was halted Tuesday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash occurred around noon at SW 9th Street and Pleasant View Drive.
According to Des Moines Police, all northbound and southbound lanes were closed during the emergency response. The Des Moines Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating potential driver impairment.
Two individuals were transported to nearby hospitals with injuries that are not life-threatening and are considered minor.
Authorities expect the roadway to be cleared by approximately 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Alternate routes include SE 14th Street and Fleur Drive.
