Fatal SUV Crash in Henry County Claims Life of Juvenile Driver
Feb. 13, 2026, 7:39 p.m. CT – A juvenile driver died after losing control of an SUV in a curve on Franklin Ave. in Henry County on Friday.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the incident occurred at 1:38 p.m. in the 1700 block of Franklin Ave., south of Trenton. The driver, a resident of Wayland, was traveling southbound in a Nissan Pathfinder when the vehicle rolled several times. No other occupants were present.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was subsequently airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where they were pronounced dead.
Further details regarding the identity of the driver have not been released. The Iowa State Patrol is continuing its investigation into the crash.
