MANCHESTER, NH – A 29-year-old Derry man died early Thursday morning following a dirt bike crash on Route 3.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 2:41 a.m. near the intersection with South Willow Street. The victim was reportedly riding a dirt bike when he lost control and collided with a guardrail.
Emergency responders from the Manchester Fire Department were dispatched to the scene, where they provided medical aid. The man suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after arrival.
Witnesses reported that the dirt bike was traveling at a high speed prior to the crash. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is ongoing, with local law enforcement leading the inquiry.
As a result of the crash, Route 3 was temporarily closed while authorities conducted their investigation and cleared the scene. Towing services were called to remove the vehicle involved.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and no additional injuries were reported. Officials have not released the name of the victim pending family notification.
