INDIANAPOLIS — One person died and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on the east side of Indianapolis Friday evening.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), the collision occurred around 6:21 p.m. in the 9500 block of E 10th Street. A Nissan sedan traveling eastbound was struck by a westbound Jeep SUV.
The driver of the Nissan, an adult woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Marion County Coroner is working to confirm her identity. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the accident.
The driver and a passenger in the Jeep, both described as adults, were transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
The IMPD Fatal Crash Investigation Team is conducting an investigation into the incident. Further details will be released as they become available.
