A significant multi-vehicle crash occurred during the NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway on April 26.
The incident, which involved nearly the entire field, took place on Lap 115 at the start of Stage 2 of the Jack Link's 500.
According to authorities, the crash began as the cars approached Turn 3, initiated by an incident involving Bubba Wallace in the No. 23 23XI Racing Toyota and Ross Chastain.
Emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene to assess potential injuries and provide medical aid.
Authorities confirmed that lane closures will be in effect as the situation is being managed and an investigation into the crash is underway.
