Two teenagers were hospitalized following a vehicle crash in Montgomery County on Friday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the incident occurred at 4:08 p.m. on Interstate 70 at mile marker 172.
Authorities said a 2022 Kenworth T680 semi-truck merged into the left lane unsafely, colliding with a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The Jeep came to a rest in the median, while the semi-truck stopped on the right shoulder.
Both drivers were unharmed, but two 15-year-old females in the Jeep sustained serious injuries and were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
