Bridgeville, DE – Sept. 11, 2026, 12:40 p.m. – A head-on collision between a Toyota Camry and a Peterbilt dump truck claimed two lives on Seashore Highway near Oak Road.
According to Delaware State Police, the Camry was traveling east while the dump truck was headed west when, for reasons under investigation, the Camry crossed into the westbound lane and collided with the truck.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene. Medical personnel pronounced both occupants of the Camry dead at the site of the crash. The identities of the deceased have not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities noted that significant debris was left on the roadway, resulting in temporary lane closures as crews worked to clear the area.
