MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — A traffic accident has closed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 near milepost 44 as of 2:41 p.m. today.
The crash involves two vehicles, according to the Idaho State Police. Emergency response agencies, including local fire and medical teams, are on the scene providing assistance and assessing injuries. At this time, the number and severity of injuries remain unconfirmed.
Authorities have advised motorists to seek alternate routes due to significant delays caused by the ongoing investigation and clean-up efforts. Towing operations are currently underway, but lane closures are expected to remain in effect for the foreseeable future.
