Teenager from Wayne County dies in US 52 crash on Thursday.

A two-vehicle crash on U.S. 52 resulted in the death of an 18-year-old on Thursday afternoon.

The accident occurred just after 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 52 and Cedar Run Road in Kenova. According to the West Virginia State Police, a vehicle driven by Ronald Fraley of Fort Gay crossed the centerline, struck a guardrail, and collided head-on with another vehicle, ultimately overturning.

Authorities confirmed that Fraley was at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

An investigation is ongoing, with law enforcement stating that neither alcohol nor drugs appear to have played a role in the crash. Lane closures and traffic delays were observed following the incident as emergency response teams conducted their work.
