Crash Sparks Small Grass Fire Near Denver International Airport
DENVER, CO— A single-vehicle crash ignited a small grass fire north of Denver International Airport on Saturday afternoon, according to authorities.
Emergency services received the call shortly after 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of 120th Avenue and Watkins Road. The fire spread to approximately 237 acres before being contained around 3:30 p.m., as confirmed by an official from the Adams County Sheriff's Office.
Brighton Fire Department responded to the scene, and the Colorado State Patrol is conducting the crash investigation. Smoke was noticeable from a camera located northeast of Boulder, raising concerns among local residents.
