A motorcyclist died Wednesday morning in a wrong-way crash on Colorado Boulevard in Commerce City, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. on a ramp near East 52nd Avenue, where investigators believe the motorcyclist was traveling against traffic when struck by a car. The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with law enforcement, according to a statement from the Commerce City Police Department.
The identity of the deceased motorcyclist will be confirmed by the Adams County Coroner's Office.
In response to the crash, the ramp in the 5300 block of Colorado Boulevard was closed for cleanup and investigation. Authorities advised drivers to avoid the area.
