Serious crash on I-495 south in Franklin disrupts Tuesday evening commute; one injured

A two-car collision on I-495 south near mile marker 43 occurred around 5 p.m., causing significant delays.
According to Massachusetts State Police, one individual was injured and transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses reported a white Jeep and a red vehicle were involved, both sustaining extensive front-end damage.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and the highway was closed temporarily, resulting in heavy traffic until reopening at 6:35 p.m.
