One Dead, Five Injured in Head-On Crash in Columbia, NH
COLUMBIA, NH – A head-on collision on Route 3 late Friday night left one woman dead and five family members hospitalized.
The crash occurred shortly after 9 p.m. when a Chevrolet Camaro, driven by 25-year-old Courtney Diamond of Pelham, crossed the center line and struck a Chevrolet Silverado head-on.
According to New Hampshire State Police, the Silverado was occupied by two adults and three children. All five were initially taken to Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook, with three suffering life-threatening injuries. They were later transferred to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
Courtney Diamond was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities report that Route 3 was closed for approximately 3.5 hours during the investigation, which is ongoing.
