HANOVER COUNTY, Va. — All lanes of northbound Interstate 95 are now open following a morning crash near King's Dominion on Tuesday.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the incident, which occurred at mile marker 98 near Route 30, involved an overturned tractor-trailer striking a car hauler parked on the shoulder.
Virginia State Police responded to the scene and reported that the car hauler sustained significant damage, with several vehicles it was carrying dislodged onto the shoulder and embankment. Both drivers involved in the incident were injured, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
VDOT confirmed that all travel lanes were blocked as a result of the crash, which is now cleared. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
