MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. — A Middleborough man died in a two-car crash on Route 44 Saturday night, according to police.
The incident occurred near Everett Street around 9:15 p.m., prompting the closure of the highway in both directions for over three hours.
James Bragga, 51, was pronounced dead shortly after emergency medical personnel treated him at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was airlifted by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital and has since been treated and released.
Local police and Massachusetts State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
