Goochland County, Va. — A 78-year-old man died following a single-vehicle crash on Route 288 southbound at 10:21 a.m. Tuesday, according to Virginia State Police.
James E. Davis was traveling south when his vehicle veered off the right side of the road, colliding with the guardrail and multiple posts before overturning. Emergency responders pronounced Davis deceased at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
The incident is currently under investigation by authorities. No additional details have been released regarding lane closures or towing.
