MCEOD COUNTY, MN — A 67-year-old woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a crash involving a pickup truck on Highway 7.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Ardith Marlene Turvander was driving a Pontiac Sunfire east on Highway 7 when she collided with a F350 traveling south on County Road 2.

Authorities confirmed that Turvander was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained fatal injuries.

The 28-year-old driver of the pickup was injured and transported to a local hospital; his injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.

Emergency response crews were on the scene, and lane closures were in effect as the investigation continues.
