A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a car while walking in St. Paul on Wednesday evening.
According to the St. Paul Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of White Bear Avenue North and Maryland Avenue East around 8:15 p.m. for a reported pedestrian accident. Upon arrival, they found the woman lying in the intersection.
She was transported to Regions Hospital, where she remains in critical condition. Authorities stated that the driver of the vehicle involved stayed at the scene and was cooperative.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing. No further details about lane closures or additional vehicles involved were available as of now.
