6-Year-Old Recovering After Fatal Minneapolis Crash

MINNEAPOLIS — A 6-year-old boy is recovering in the hospital following a car crash on Thursday morning that resulted in the deaths of two women.

Greyson Borg suffered a traumatic brain injury and multiple broken bones in the incident. His grandmother, Nichole Page, indicated that he is improving but faces a lengthy recovery process.

The crash occurred when a suspect fleeing from Minneapolis police collided with the vehicle transporting Greyson to school. His mother, Liberty Borg, and family friend Marisa Casebolt were killed in the crash.

“This was just his second day of school. He never made it,” Page reported. She described Liberty as devoted to Greyson, emphasizing her commitment to providing for him.

The community is rallying around Greyson during this difficult time. A Local Police Officer, who rescued him from the wreckage, brought a new bike and soccer gear to the child, highlighting community support.

Greyson will require extensive physical and psychological therapy in the coming months. Page noted that he will need to use a wheelchair initially, but he has strong family support.

Family members hope Greyson will be discharged from the hospital next week. They are also raising funds to assist with his recovery and to cover burial expenses for Liberty Borg.
