Franklin, Ky. – Multiple people were injured in a collision involving a snowplow on Sunday morning in Franklin.
According to the Franklin Police Department, the collision happened around 8:44 a.m. at the intersection of Nashville Road and Macedonia Road.
A Simpson County International snowplow/salt truck pulled out of Macedonia Road onto Nashville Road and collided with a 2016 Buick SUV driven by an 89-year-old man from Portland, TN.
The man and his 80-year-old wife were injured and were transported to the Medical Center of Franklin by EMS. His wife was later transferred to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
The snowplow operator was also injured and was transported by private vehicle to the Medical Center of Franklin.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
