NELSON COUNTY, Ky. — A woman has died from injuries sustained in a head-on collision on May 17 on Highway 245 near Handy Food Mart in Bardstown.
According to authorities, 79-year-old Edward Hovan was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, initially hospitalized in critical condition, has also succumbed to her injuries; her identity has not yet been released.
The other vehicle was driven by 51-year-old Teudis Hernandez, who incurred minor injuries in the crash. He is facing multiple charges, including murder, assault, and driving under the influence. Hernandez is currently detained in Nelson County.
