LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A 93-year-old woman died in a two-vehicle crash late Tuesday night at Main Street and Jefferson Street.
According to the Lexington Police Department, the accident occurred just after 9 p.m. when one vehicle struck another making a turn. The Fayette County Coroner's Office identified the deceased as Juanita Puckett of Lexington, who succumbed to “blunt force injuries” sustained in the collision.
Puckett was pronounced dead at UK Medical Center. One occupant of the second vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
