HARWICH, Mass. — A 26-year-old woman faces several charges following a drunken driving crash that left a man with life-threatening injuries Tuesday night.
According to police, Josephine Marsh of Brewster was driving a pickup truck that collided head-on with a sedan at the intersection of Pleasant Lake Avenue and Harwood Avenue around 9:00 p.m. The driver of the sedan became trapped inside his vehicle and was reported to have life-threatening injuries.
Emergency responders conducted an extensive rescue operation, transporting the victim to Barnstable Airport, where he was transferred to a medical helicopter and flown to a Boston-area hospital.
Marsh suffered minor injuries and was arrested at the scene. She is charged with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol, Operating a Motor Vehicle to Endanger, Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Using an Electronic Device While Driving, and a Marked Lanes Violation.
Authorities said she will be held without bail and is expected to be arraigned in Orleans District Court.
