NH Man Dies in Skiing Accident at Sugarbush Resort

A 43-year-old man from New Hampshire died Saturday afternoon in a skiing accident at Sugarbush Resort in Warren, Vermont.

Authorities identified the victim as Cory Hartman of Hampton, New Hampshire. According to Vermont State Police, Hartman fell on Stein's Run and slid into a wooded area off the trail. Ski patrol members found him unresponsive and transported him to the base of the mountain, where he was met by Mad River Valley ambulance personnel. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Hartman is remembered as a dedicated father of three, with family and friends noting his adventurous spirit and zest for life. A fundraising page was established in his honor.

The Chief Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. Authorities stated they do not believe the incident is suspicious.
