Woman, 48, dies in Kalaeloa crash with speed and alcohol suspected as factors.

A 48-year-old woman died early Sunday after her vehicle veered off Coral Sea Road in Kalaeloa and struck a tree.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:41 a.m. Emergency responders from the Honolulu Fire Department and the Honolulu Police Department arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. The woman was on-site.

According to authorities, speed and alcohol are suspected factors in the collision. No other vehicles were involved. The roadway was closed for several hours as officers conducted their investigation and cleared the wreckage.

The investigation remains ongoing.
