HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A crash on West Broad Street in Henrico County caused significant delays before reopening Sunday morning after more than 12 hours.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:55 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of West Broad Street and Hollybrook Avenue, according to Henrico Police.

Police confirmed a single vehicle was involved, resulting in damage to a utility pole and downed lines across the roadway.

As a precaution, West Broad Street was closed in both directions between Parham Road and Skipwith Road while crews conducted repairs.

Authorities estimated that the closure would persist through midday Sunday. However, all lanes reopened around 10:30 a.m. after repair operations were moved off the road.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, according to officials.
