Man dies in single-vehicle crash in Duluth Township.

DULUTH TOWNSHIP — A 24-year-old man died in a crash on Homestead Road on Wednesday night.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, authorities responded to the scene at 9:40 p.m. The vehicle, driven by Zander Leroy Hamlin, was traveling northbound when it left the roadway, spun multiple times, collided with a large tree in the ditch, and subsequently re-entered the road.

Speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash. Emergency response included the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, St. Louis County Rescue Squad, Lake County Ambulance, and local fire departments.

Hamlin was at the scene. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, and no further details have been released about any potential lane closures or tows related to the crash.
