DULUTH TOWNSHIP — A 24-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash on Wednesday night.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred at 9:40 p.m. in the 6500 block of Homestead Road.
Zander Leroy Hamlin, of Duluth Township, was driving north when his vehicle left the roadway, spun multiple times, and struck a large tree in the ditch before re-entering the road. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor.
Emergency responders included the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, St. Louis County Rescue Squad, Lake County Ambulance, and local fire departments.
No additional injuries were reported, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
